TfL 415 bus route proposal

Transport for London (TfL) has launched a public consultation on a proposal to completely withdraw bus route 415, which currently runs between Tulse Hill station and Old Kent Road.

The plan is part of a wider restructuring of the south London bus network aimed at reducing excess capacity and operating costs.

Some passengers who currently use the route will lose direct links for certain long-distance journeys. Passengers who use the service to and from Oval, Kennington, Elephant & Castle and the Old Kent Road would now have to change buses at Brixton.

Withdrawing the service would also account for a 20% reduction in the number of services between Tulse Hill and Brixton, although according to TfL, bus routes 2 and 432 have sufficient capacity to meet demand.

Have your say

TfL are holding a six-week public consultation to hear what people think about their proposals. You can submit your views by completing a survey, which should take no more than 10 minutes. If you are short on time, you can submit a quick response. The closing date for comments is Sunday 15 November 2026.
