In response to questions from our steering group, Transport for London (TfL) provided an update on the Superloop SL15 and SL6 bus services.
The SL15 is a new service connecting Clapham Junction and Eltham via Tulse Hill and West Dulwich. Currently, the SL6 operates between Russell Square and Croydon during peak times, passing through Tulse Hill without stopping but stopping nearby in West Norwood, although TfL has announced that the SL6 will stop in Tulse Hill.
We had anticipated both the SL6 and SL15 would serve the gyratory by 2027 and requested specific start dates. However, these haven’t been confirmed yet. The only confirmed improvement is the Superloop branding.
A safety audit hasn’t been conducted at the new stop locations, which are at a junction with a history of vehicles mounting pavements. Passenger numbers are expected to rise significantly, but TfL has assessed this and doesn’t appear concerned.
