Transform Tulse Hill successfully lobbied to make a Deputation to the Lambeth Council meeting on 15 October.

Read our deputation and listen/watch here – scroll through to 01:04:15 if you don’t want to listen/watch the whole meeting.

Campaign members Jamie Hodge (local resident), Tom Palmer (Norwood Forum Co-Chair) and Charlotte Ashworth (Manager, Station to Station BID) spoke eloquently about the safety crisis around the Tulse Hill Gyratory, and the community’s ambitions for a safer and thriving future, seeking – amongst other issues – Lambeth’s support in lobbying Transport for London (TfL).

Councillor Rezina Chowdhury, Deputy Leader (Sustainable Lambeth and Clean Air), gave a detailed verbal response which you can also watch/listen from the previous link. The campaign will receive a written response which we will post here as soon as it is received.

What Next?

Through a Freedom of Information request, the campaign received details of the options for the gyratory that TfL are working on.

We are now finalising details of a meeting between the campaign steering group and Will Norman, Walking and Cycling Commissioner. Will is based at both City Hall and TfL, and is paid via TfL.
